Dmytro Sanagursky

D.I. Sanahursky was born in the village of Zhovchiv, Rohatyn district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He
graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Lviv Ivan Franko State University majoring in
"chemical cybernetics" in 1970, and began working as a junior researcher at the Lviv branch of the
Institute of Biochemistrynamed after O.V. Paladin, Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. In
1977, for the first time for the germ cells of loach, he recorded fluctuations of transmembrane
potential that were synchronous with cell division cycles. In 1983 he defended his dissertation these
"Transmembrane potential in the early embryogenesis of loach (Misgurnus fossilis L.) under the
action of hormonal drugs." From 1987 to 1997 he worked at the Lviv State Scientific Research
Control Institute of Veterinary Drugs and Feed Additives as a senior researcher, and later as a head
of the laboratory of instrumental methods of control, which he personally planned and created. He
has been working at Lviv National University since 1997 as the Head of the Department of
Biophysics and Mathematical Methods in Biology.
The doctoral dissertation on the topic "Transmembrane bioelectrogenesis: modifying effects on it,
structural and functional analysis and models" was defended by D.I. Sanhursky in 2006 at a meeting
of the Specialized Academic Council of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.


On September 27, 2017 he was awarded the honorary title of "Honorary Professor of Ivan Franko
National University of Lviv" by the Academic Council of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv
