Currently, the Scientific School “Biochemistry and Molecular Biology” at the Department of Biochemistry of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv unites 2 doctors of biological sciences and 13 candidates of biological sciences.
The general scientific direction of the school is determination the molecular mechanisms of extreme factors action on various body systems. Among the priority areas of the scientific school are: Study of biochemical mechanisms of regulation of the functional state of cells of the blood system in various pathologies (under conditions of diabetes mellitus, the effects of X-rays and alcohol intoxication); Research of mechanisms of biological action of physiologically active components of medicinal plants for obtaining phytopreparations of antioxidant and sugar-lowering action; Investigation of molecular mechanisms of protective effect of natural complexes of grape polyphenols under conditions of oxidative and nitrative stresses; Development of effective methods for the correction of metabolic disorders induced by hypoxia of various etiologies.

We offer a well-paid temporary job in a research project to a scientist who is a refugee from Ukraine.
The formal requirements are only that the person:
– has a PhD degree or the Ukrainian equivalent in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related discipline;
– before leaving Ukraine has been engaged in a scientific research work in a university or a research institute;
– has left Ukraine on or after Feb. 24, i.e., can be considered a refugee. Note, that it applies also...
