Read more »The head of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology is Professor Dr Volodymyr Manko (since 2011). The main directions of scientific work of the department are: adaptation potential of mitochondria of acinar cells of the pancreas and liver, its limits and mechanisms of formation by oxidation of various substrates of the Krebs cycle and amino acids; respiration of mitochondria in response to the action of protonophores, stability of respiratory rate, elasticity of metabolic flow in acinar cells of the pancreas due to oxidation of various substrates; the effect of calixarenes on the maximum oxidative capacity of mitochondria and the viability of hepatocytes; changes in morphological parameters of erythrocytes modified in different media using the Olympus IX73 microscope with DP-74 digital camera and subsequent processing of microphotographs using the graphic editor GIMP2.10 and ImageJ version 2.0, erythrocyte search algorithm based on Hough Circle Transformation (BenjaminSmith); development of tremor in people with different functional states of the body.

We offer a well-paid temporary job in a research project to a scientist who is a refugee from Ukraine.
The formal requirements are only that the person:
– has a PhD degree or the Ukrainian equivalent in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or a related discipline;
– before leaving Ukraine has been engaged in a scientific research work in a university or a research institute;
– has left Ukraine on or after Feb. 24, i.e., can be considered a refugee. Note, that it applies also...
